During cherry blossom season, I traveled to Tokyo with my sisters. As a fashion photographer, I was eager to capture the striking contrast between the city’s modern energy and the delicate beauty of the sakura. In Shibuya, the street style was electric, offering a bold backdrop to the soft pink blooms. Shinjuku, with its towering skyscrapers and the grand, red-hued Senso-ji Temple, provided another stunning contrast between the old and new.
One of the most inspiring locations was the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum. The preserved Edo-period buildings against the modern city skyline sparked new creative ideas for blending contemporary fashion with Tokyo’s rich history. Tokyo’s blend of tradition and innovation reminded me why I love being a photographer—capturing the essence of a place through fashion.
